Gates of Ogre
The former pump station of the knitwear factory lies directly on the banks of river Daugava next to the city of Ogre. The project proposes to create an innovative, freely accessible center for recreation, tourism, and research, that activates the bank of river Daugava on all levels.
The existing pump station building
A 360-degree panorama walkway with a view platform above the river surrounds the new building. The water surface can be reached via a serpentine pathway, granting full accessibility to everyone - which for now is not available elsewhere on the river promenade.
